Our Statewide Student Day of Poetry has been broke up into five regional events for 2015. You are now perusing the LOWELL event!

On Thursday, December 10, Mass Poetry’s Student Day of Poetry is taking over UMass Lowell! SDOP features a morning poetry sampler, writing-generative workshops, performances, readings, and a student open mic. We’ve got something for everyone, from the student who isn’t even sure they like poetry to the senior leading the after-school poetry club.

I Put a Spell On You

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

What makes a poem a spell? In this workshop, we will look at examples of repetition in published poems, and we will write and chant our own poems. We will see how repetition and variation create energy and music in a poem.
